this is what happened my boyfriend of 3 years and i lived with my mother and my step- father and i heard that he cheated on me so to get back at him for it i cheated on him with my step-dad and now i am not so sure that what i had said at the begining is so true my son is 2 now and he is looking more and more like the ex boyfriend i dont know how to quite handle this so if i can get your advice that would help me a lot. thanks

It will requre a judges order. Most times that order will come when:
1) A DNA test proves that he is NOT the Father
2) He agrees to being taken off
That is unless, you know whom the real Father is, in which case, a DNA test will allow you to ahve teh judge order that the real Father replace the old.
In some states, even if the listed Father is not the birth Father, even after a DNA test, he will not be allowed to be removed, unless malice is shown in putting his name on it in the first place.
You see in most cases it has to do more with protecting the child.

You cheated on your boyfriend with your stepdad? You have much BIGGER issues than how to change a birth certificate!
But, to answer your question, at this point the only way to change it is by getting a court order (issued as a result of a dna test). That's IF you live in the U.S. (other countries may be different), and frankly, I hope you don't, because you have a serious lack of morals...we have enough people like that here already.

The first thing you need to do is petition the courts for DNA on both suspected fathers if the ex comes back as being the father the Birth Certificate can be modified

once a name is on a legal birth certicate its on there unless u can prove he isnt the daddy, then u have step on finding the right father and filling out more paperwork to get it changed, (once u prove he is the real dad)

You will have to have both men tested and then go to court. Are you sure there aren't more men who need to stand on line and get tested? Any one who could have sex with their mothers husband is a person with no morals what so ever. Why not ask the court to declare you child any mans child? I hope your mom kicked you butt then disowned you and her poor excuse of a husband. You did this on a rumor with no facts. What will you do to you son if you hear rumors he disappointed you, kill him?

wow thats pretty messed up. Sleeping with ya step dad i mean really out of all the people in the world to sleep with to get back at ya bf. pretty low if you ask me cause you wouldn't only upset your bf i'd assume it would also ruin you and your mums relationship aswell....
