my friend has been dating her cousin for almost 4 years. (they dont live in the same country) but she has never been happier and they really love each other. theyre not like planning to get married or any-thing (she's 14 he's 19)
but whats so wrong with it? cousins are people just like every-one else just cuz your cousins dosent mean its disgusting.
p.s. they're parents dont know, but if they found out they know that they would separate them.
what should they do????

If they are 1st cousins, it can get a little dicey as it it all in the family and is thus frowned upon big-time.
I don't think they should do anything. It is a fine line that they walk and since they have done it for 4 years, the last thing they want to do it so have to explain how they feel about each other to people who disapprove--Even their family.

A 14 and a 19 year old should not be dating in the first place.And secondly,cousins dating is a bad idea.I once dated someone off and on for several months only to have them become my cousin.Man did i feel dirty and ashamed of myself.Chances are that if they know the parents would seperate them then there's a problem with what they're doing. Sorry to say but they should probably call it quits and start looking for people not in their family to date.

Ummm... so, I'm gonna guess you're between the age of 13 and 15. You should have already learned a minute amount of genetics. There's a reason most places forbid this type of relationship... depending upon the distance of the cousins. Offspring produced between two close relatives are often plagued with mental and physical problems... retardation, physical deformation, and a plethora of other things.
Tell your cousin to get a clue... and she shouldn't be in a relationship with her 19 y/o cousin. For age concerns (I don't think anyone under 16 especially should be having sex)... and also the moral aspect of it... essentially, he is taking advantage of a naive relative that has a bond and trust in him beyond that which should be abused in a family.

Cousins have married before. Its not disgusting, but maybe a little odd. And no... their children won't be deformed or retarded... or have any more chance to be so than any other children. In some states its illegal for 1st cousins to marry, in other's its ok... Check with their state for the laws there.
Till she's of legal age though, she's off limits.... Sex is statutory rape even if she consented.
Be sure he's aware of that.

You ever saw the movie "Great Balls of Fire"? The relationship between Jerry Lee Lewis and his cousin sure ended up great, didn't it? Any relationship that you have to be secretive about is no good. Besides, you said that they have been dating for 4 years. That means the girl was 10 when they started. They must live in Mississippi or Alabama. NASTY.

well in this society of course its labeled as wrong. I dont think its wrong since they are just two people who love each other although i have to admit i feel a little uncomfortable it but what i do think is wrong is the age difference between the two. i dont think she should be dating a guy that age when shes not even an adult yet but thats just my opinion so yea......

i think if they truly love each other then they should continue with what they are doing until she is of age to make her own decisions....they could never be married because, u know, its illegal but theres nothing saying they cant live together and still have a happy life,,,,i dont see anything wrong with it...give ur friend my Good Luck Wishes....

What's wrong with it, is because it's family... and that's something that's kinda illeagal and just plain weird. I would never even think about "liking" any family member, you know way too much about eachother to begin with.
And if their parents don't approve, they need to stop, parents are usually doing what's best for their kids, and in this case they are.

you are not supposed to date your family. it is just wrong, only monkeys sometimes do this and we have evolved. your friend must have something wrong with her mind. they should seperate, she doesn't really know love at 14, and he should know better at 19, for being with a 14yr old especially his cousin, thats GROSS. hes probably sick in the mind as well.
