Christians are constantly challenged about their beliefs and must answer their critics. As far as caring what others think, it is because of a love for others that we share our faith. I do feel sadness when someone does not understand or refuses to believe because I know they are doomed to an eternity of seperation from God or better known as Hell.

I am a Christian and "debating" about my beliefs doesnt bring my comfort. I answer people when they have a question, or offer my opinion but I dont get into arguments unless it is a serious, with the intent to learn, debate.
I share my faith because Jesus Christ commanded commanded all Christians in Matthew 28 to go out into the world and tell people about what you believe (my paraphrase).

You shouldnt generalize about Christians like that anyway...

People get upset when others do not agree with them, because it makes them question their own belife system. .. If you belive in YOURSELF and love YOURSELF, there are no questions.. Only one person can love you and hate you and everything else in between.... That is you. Many people embrace honorable philosophies, preaching them far and wide, yet live to betray their intent. It is more important to be a good person, to self and others. Who cares of you are Christan or otherwise... The one thing that we all share is DEATH. So, if we are all going to die, why are we all so worried about eveyone else? Seems to me we should be busy living our OWN life, not the life of another...

Christians shouldn't get upset with anyone who doesn't believe.

Jesus got upset with the Pharisees because they claimed they were religious and new God, yet they didn't know Who Jesus was. (God).

Jesus would never want us to force our beliefs on others.

Jesus told us if the world hates us, remember it hated Him first.

We are always growing in our Christian walk, some mature faster than others.

Some may be new Christians.
I guess it depends on the person.

Actually you have it a bit backwards. I dont' debate my beliefs with anybody. If a person doesn't believe in electricty than I can't show them the light now can I. I will not argue my beliefs but I will not be bullied either. If somebody doesn't agree with me, so what? Thats their issue.

Christianity is based on contradictions. Since the Bible contradicts itself numerously, Christians believe it is the way God wants them to behave.
