Not sure but I think he's mad.....is this weird?

Question

So I am sort of seeing this man that lives out of town...he is my best friends boyfriends brother. I only see him when I go to visit them and I saw him the weekend before last... we went out, etc.. he will txt me thruout the week and ask how I am, ask about my kids, etc.

So he txted me last night and I mentioned that I was going to be going to Oregon for 10 days.......and got no more responses... so I txt that I figured they (meaning his brother and gf) would have said something...he responded with "They didn't".. then I texted saying I would have told him but I didn't see him the Sunday that I left....I have heard nothing back....since yesterday.

So I realize this sounds totally juvenile and for that, I appologize, but I am baffled.... was he mad? Did I somehow offend him by not mentioning this to him directly? It is not uncommon when I go down that he finds out from them and comes over - I never tell him I am coming down. I am confused & wanted a 'second opinion' before I call
