Assuming you are in school, would you be allowed to bring a Bible to public schools in your State or city? We are here, and I can't imagine it being any other way, but someone said otherwise in another post. Just wanting a yes or no. You can rant if you wish. lol

This is what I thought, but someone said earlier that their relative could not, and I was befuddled. Why shouldn't we be allowed to talk to people about our religion?

In the public high school I went to (in Adelaide, South Australia), they gave us bibles at an assembly and there was a Christian prayer group that met at lunch. And like virtually every school in the western world there was at least one bible in the library.
So there certainly wouldn't have been a problem if someone wanted to take a bible to school.

In public schools in my area, the students can do anything they want religion-wise. In America, we're a free country, so we're allowed to do that. However, the school administration is not allowed to spread a particular religion.
So, yes, I would be allowed to bring a Bible to school... But the teacher's wouldn't be allowed to make me read it.

it's a free country here in the United States, where I live....so yes, students are allowed to bring the Bible to school
now....are they allowed to pull it out and start missionizing at people while on school grounds?
(non-existent) hell no!
the student would be allowed to read it to themselves but NOT preach at others

at my school we are allowed to bring our bibles and i wouldn't want it any other way. although i have noticed if you just take out your bible in the middle of class you tend to get really weird stares...not just from non-believers but from christians too.
