I usually cry when I read the Bible, but it's usually because I start to think of all of the suffering that has been endured because so many people take it all so literally.
But seriously, though, I don't know of any religious group who only eats soup and won't eat any raw foods.
I know of the Jainists who wear covers over their mouths so they don't accidentally suck in an unwary insect and brush their paths in front of them to ward off any stray insects that may get squashed underfoot and won't farm because it destroys the habitat of the earthworms and the insects in the fields. They live on just enough food to survive (vegan, of course) but I don't think it's limited to only soup nor do they read the Bible (they're out of India and I believe it's based on some of the principles of Hinduism, though not exactly the same).

The Soupslurpers, very strict sect associated with the Stewchompers. Not Methonites, they eat methane, and the Quackers eat corn meal.
