I'm trying ot build a daily routine of building more activity into my life. This is the first winter I have gained weight in about 10 years, and it's getting me down. Well, I've started walking, but when the weather is bad, I really have a hard time getting motivated to go out. Help me figure out something I can do in my home that doesn't cost a lot of money...something that is motivating and hard to avoid would be even better. :-) Thanks!

Go out and buy Denise Austin's Pilates for Every Body; I think it's about 15-20 bucks, and all you need is a resistance band. You can do it at home on your own time, and it is a really nice low impact workout that really slims you down and firms you up at the same time!

Power yoga is good overall resistance exercise which will increase your lean mass and burn extra calories 24 hours per day. There are many good power yoga tapes/ DVD's.

Here is a link to info on resistance exercise.
