Many can say differently but in the real world a guy is not going to wait till marriage though it's a noble thought on your behalf . If you find a guy that loves you enough to marry you and become engaged you may as well give in to him or you certainly will lose him no matter how nice of a guy he is . The only way your plan is workable is if you move from dating to marriage within a month 2 at the outset seriously . If your of marrying age a guy will not believe your his first rather you wait or not and you can take that to the bank . Sorry I"m just telling it as it is . Truly no offense intended , I respect your wishes for doing so . Why would a guy be a bad person for being normal and not wanting to wait if he is truly in love with a girl ? Does this demonize him and make him not marriage material ? Instead you should be flattered he wants you so badly . I"ll bet 10 to 1 no one here can do what you propose to do honestly . Your not a bad person for not waiting either because your a grown adult . Saving it for the one guy of your dreams is quite enough and he will love you for it or leave if he has to wait even if he's a saint .

I feel the same way as you. If the guy isn't willing to wait that long then seriously he really doesn't care about you. I am waiting till then also. It's important to me too and if a guy isn't willing to wait and understand why it's important to me then he's not worth it. I know the feeling i don't want to be alone either but giving in just cause isn't a good way to think. I hope there is a guy out there that would feel the same way as i do.

the right one will wait for you. dont settle and don't give it up. i think that the idea of sex in todays world has totally gone down the drain. i believe that its supposed to be something so wonderful. some people say its not that great, but its because they throw it around like its nothing. i used to say that i was going to wait till i was married, but i didn't. it's still really good, but i believe that waiting till your married and sharing it with that person you love most will truly make it amazing and worth the wait so much more. having sex with someone you love is so much better then someone you just like.

There are guys who will wait. They tend to marry younger. They tend to be family-centered types and have strong beliefs about marriage and sex. There is no where written a law that says you have to have sex with a guy EVER before marriage. Find the right guy for you and date him, then date another and then another - you don't have to have sex with any of them! You will find one or even a few or even many that share your beliefs - but the bar scene is usually not the place to find guys like that!

If it is important to you wait! There are still several guys out there. Besides the right one will be glad to wait until your ready. Don't give up. You don't have to be alone. Your just going to have to play the field a little bit and if he's worth anything he will wait for you to be ready!

Okay this one's harder to follow than it is to spell out but I'll give it a swing. HOLD ONTO YOUR MORALS! if things don;t or won't work out, it's not because you held back the goods trust me. Ofcourse our society is saturated with sex and it rarely requires any form of commitment to get it anymore but if you truly require that level of respect, then honestly he'll find another way to get off and hopefully not with someone else.
I don't really have a lot of faith in "holding out" unless you got a really strong connection or commitment that involves someone higher than you both. Face it, there almost always comes a time when you're weak and in the mood and one thing leads to another and then ya blew it (no pun intended).
It's like the Tuesday morning sports commentator but I'd say hold off and if he's still crazy about the way you look at him, the way you make him feel like he's the only man who makes you smile, then he's a keeper. If he's always trying to find a way to get off when he's around you (or surprisingly content with it), I'd give him a gift certificate at the nearest sex store and a jar of ky for those late night infomercials.

On average, I'd say guys wouldn't wait. But those kinds who don't wait aren't the ones who you really want to spend the rest of your life with, and aren't even with your time!
If you find a guy who's willing to wait for you, and willing to wait himself, you're bound to have a better relationship then if you go for one who can't wait.

You should date a guy like me who has no interest in mating. Avoid the horny guys, they are bad news. Tell them about abstinence websites so they learn the facts that mating has to wait till marriage and procreation. Hope this helps.

Regard this as a test of their character. After all, would you rather be lonely or stuck with a guy who harassed you into giving in on "something that's important to me."
