I read that it is common to get a cold or the flu in the first few weeks of pregnancy is that true?

I don't think so. We've had 4 pregnancies and know many, many others who went through pregnancies. None got a cold or flu during the first few weeks.

Yes! The first time I was pregnant, I got strep throat, (nobody I knew had it), and really bad colds. It was the sickest I had ever been (not morning sickness).

ive never known that. the only way for it to be proven is ask many girls that have been pregnant see what they say.
