i met a guy for the first time and he took me and my friends out to a nightclub. he paid for everything. he complimented me all night problem is i havent heard from him (since that night, he called to make sure we were home safely). does the 3 day waiting rule apply to men in their 30's and 40's. hes not an aggressive person he seems real calm and cool he mentioned once about there being a next time but did not askd for another date or even say when we would see each other again. what should i do? i dont think i should call him. i think i should move on.

You are very smart!!! You have the answer!!! Forget about the 3 days rule...it might be 3 months, but just let him call you. In the mean time move on, and enjoy life!!

Good Luck!!!

Ok, it sounds like this guy is significantly older than you are. Since he hasn't called you, and he has your number, I'd let him slide. That night at the club, he was being kind to a bunch of young kids (reasoning that he makes more money than you all did) and was just allowing you to have a good time but he wasn't interested in getting more involved with younger kids--or he'd have followed up for sure. He might have been married and just out on the town that one night. Move on.

I think that he was getting you's all plastered so that he could take advantage of you's. Older guys aren't interested in all the mucking around that goes on with younger people whan they start relationships. Yeah he might have seemed like a nice guy but the fact that he hasn't rang you speaks volumes. Most older guys when they take you out expect something back in return and it's not just a kiss.

The "three day waiting rule" is absurd. Call him. Tell him (or leave a message telling him) how much you enjoyed the other night out & would like to do it again. Maybe he just needs some reassurance that you enjoyed his company. Leave your number and wait for him to call back. If he doesn't call back, though, I wouldn't suggest contacting him again.

I think you should do the right thing and ring him. He showed you and your friends a great night out. Ring him. Tell him how much you enjoyed the night and tell him next date is on you....where does he want to go?

I would call him. If he was not into you he will let you know. At best you will find a new romance or just a good friend.
