My burner doesnt like them for some reason
ALL +/- seem to burn fine
If I need: what brand is burner friendly

I'd be cautious about storing my photos only on DVDs, as I've had problems reading some of my DVDs from only a little more than 1 year ago in my new computer's DVD drive. Luckily, the DVD was readable by the old DVD writer from the old computer (the one that I had used to burn the DVD).

There's about 4 mfr of archival CD's and DVD's.
Do they make a difference? YES definitely.

CD's are rated for about 5 years, archival CD's are 100 years or more.

That's all I use for long term storage as I want the photos in 10 or 20 years (but, you need to also keep them at a reasonable temperature too.)
