I really want to get fit and in shape for summer! right now i'm 5'3 or 5'4 and i weigh 115-116lbs. I really want to get down to 100-105. Is there any way that you guys know that i can do this i have 3 months. is that possible? please if you have any diet and excercising advice it would really help!! thanks in advance

Exercise everyday like jogging around the block
Skip meals. Eat 2 times per day than 3 times per day
Dont eat until you're full
Eat fruits at night if your hungry.
Drinks lots of water and stop all the fast food and chocolate.

OK Ana, first thing to concentrate on is to loose the idea of loosing weight!! Let me explain: our weight is composed of bones (over 200 of them), muscles (over 600 of those) and internal organs, weight of our blood and least of all (for individuals not obesse) body fat. If you follow some of these fad diets to loose "weight", you may loose weight by loosing also some muscle and some water along with the fat, becoming dehidrated. YOU DON'T want that I am sure.

What you do want is to loose BODY FAT only. To measure how much you are loosing you just take your measurement around your bellybutton every week and write it down.

To loose the fat is simple. There are two main hormones that control the input of fat into the cells and the removal of fat from the cells.
They are glucagon (to remove) and insulin (to deposit it in the cell).
You can easily control which hormone is prevalent by what you eat. A meal with more protein than simple cabohydrates will generate more glucagon.
A meal with lots of simple carbs will generate lots of insulin (e.g. breads, pasta, cookies, pizza, sweets, ice creams, SODAS, French fries, etc..)
If you substitute simple carbs by complex carbs you will have plenty of energy to workout and burn some more fat. Examples are vegetables, whole grain breads and pasta, raw fruits etc...
If you join the above to at least 30g of protein per meal (from eggs, fish, cottage cheese, chicken, beef, turkey, milk, etc...) you have a winning combination that will stimulate the release of the existing fat. But don't forget to burn it too.
A slow aerobic exercise is the best, such as a fast walk, slow jogging, rowing, biking, swimming, elliptical machine etc...at least 30 min per day (start at 10 min and grow).
If you tone your large muscles (legs and back) they will burn some more fat while you sleep (but don't eat carbs before going to bed).

You should be able to burn at least 2 lbs of pure fat every week with the above, but the best measure is, like I said before, the tape around your belly. It should get slowly smaller every 2 weeks or so.

To find out if you have a healthy amount of body fat just jump up and down. If there is a lot of fat you will feel like there is someone else jumping after you jump (the fat!) When you feel only YOU jumping, you have arrived at a good proportion.

Don't forget that your external appearance will be atractive but you need to have some content to it too. Work on you character and personality as well and you will be a real winner.

You're both crazy and neither one of you needs to lose weight. Just slip into those string bikinis and prance along the beach. Guys will be watching every giggle you make.
