Drove by there today, and they are blooming now!

I got there for a summer program on Memorial day and they were completely gone. I'd say April, give or take a week or 2 depending on how the winter has gone (early spring or not). March is probably too early. The flowers will probably start coming out in early April. I think next week or the week after would be a good time to go.

Don have been given it exact. yet enable me merely upload this morsel of advice. do no longer decide for the cherry blossom pageant. Why? by way of fact the section around the tidal basin is packed. it rather is like a sea of people. I went as quickly as and that became sufficient for me. It took me greater or less an hour to pass a one million/2-a-mile by strolling. pass to Wash DC while there is no longer something occurring, and you've got a plenty greater suitable time. in reality, i could especially advise which you postpone your holiday by an entire month and decide for the Cindo de Mayo pageant rather. it rather is distinctly low key stuff, no hug crowds, and perchance plenty greater relaxing.

The festival is the first week of April...you can probably see them in bloom in late March and avoid the crowds!

In the springtime... my favorite time of year :-) This year they're predicting the blooming period to be April 1-12.
