So one of my close friends, who I've known since 5th grade is going out with one of the craziest girls I've ever met. They started going out at the start of this year, the same time I started going out with my gf. We're both sophomores, but she's a junior, and still doesn't even have a license. She's rude, b*****, and I've seen her slap him HARD in the face one time. To top it all off, she's ugly as hell. She controls his life, and I hardly even get to see my best friend anymore. How can i convince him to leave this crazy girl?! He won't listen to anything

I think it becomes my business when my best friend is getting slapped, and not being allowed to hang out with his friends anymore

I've tried to introduce him to more girls, much nicer, cooler, and MUCH more attractive than his girlfriend. I don't get it, why would you want to be with someone who is not only ugly, but mean too

It's none of your business. Anything you say will just make him cling to her more.

I think it's only fair that you should learn this now.....You CANNOT make someone do something they DONT WANT to do. He's a guy right? If he wanted to stop her, he could assuming he has more physical strength than she does. He's in Love or whatever you want to call it. Love is blind till its had enough abuse. Just talk to him and tell him you dont thinks she treats him well. Give examples. Thats ALL you can do because the decision is totally up to him.

Whatever way you end up doing, don't be rude to him, unless you are ready to be hated by him for a very long time.

I guess the best you could do, is try to introduce more girls into his life(that is, if he doesn't know many).

If he didn't leave her when she slapped him, then something is wrong with him. Try to find some other girl to get his attention or show him some interest. Give him some options and let him see that he can do better.

unfortunately your friend will have to wise up & find out for himself..he's too close to the situation to truly " see" all the problems..
he will one day get wise to all of it.....but until he does..he's wasting time with her.
the fact that she slapped him..should have been a major
" red flag"..to get out of the relationship..as fast as possible!!!

start talking about her good points (everyone has them just find hers) and emphasizing her good points...maybe he will argue with her. you are putting him on the defensive. stop trying to tell him what to do. start being supportive of the relationship so HE can see for himself it's a problem

Just tell him how you feel. You could do it face to face but if you cant try to do it through a letter or e-mail.
Good Luck.
