Honesty is one of the most important thing for me... but I feel like some look at it as being weak. What are your views on honestly?

I think it takes a lot of courage to be totally honest. It is a good trait to have.

I think it's important/helpful in a relationship.
I think it's important to separate honesty from being an open book. It's also important to maintain a personal life, and a personal identity. There isn't a need to become a single entity, or bog the other party in your relationship down with your problems, if they can't help/telling them wouldn't help, and most people wouldn't appreciate it.
Just try to be honest, without being a downer, or a person who never is quiet/seems invasive/untrusting.
That's the other thing. Don't crave honesty because you distrust others. Crave honesty because you simply like knowing your relationship partner.

Anyone who considers honesty a weakness is too stupid to pay attention too. I suppose with that way of thinking, lying is a sign of strength? Being lied to hurts. While honesty sometimes needs to be done with careful consideration, it is always best. For example, your girl asks if her butt looks too big in a certain dress... it does, but saying "YEA! makes your butt look HUGE!" would not a be good idea. Instead, saying "Well, I really like this dress on you better - it compliments your legs". Didn't lie, and did not risk hurt feelings. Use honesty with caution - many people just cannot handle it straight from the bottle.

Well it depends... honesty is the foundation of a relationship and is neeeded in order to last. If the person is too honest like when u ask them do i look good in this outfit and they say no.. and constantly put you down then maybe they should back off and dont be that honest.. but all in all honesty is never a sign of weakness in my opinion and is what you need to keep a relationship long and strong!

Honesty is one of the best characteristics in a relationship. If a person has a problem with something, they should come out and say it. It saves everyone a lot of trouble, and it helps the flow of communication! Some people could be a little more tactful in their honesty, but honesty in itself is one of the most important things in a relationship.

Being honest is the hardest thing to do in relationships, yet its important for it. Being too honest has its pros and cons too. Sometimes having too much honesty maybe a bad thing. For example, when your bf wears this ridiculous looking outfit, you tell him your honest opinions that it looks really ugly. Your bf will get mad because you you have hurt his feelings for being too honest. Sometimes you need to lie a bit just to make them hear what they want to hear. The good thing of being honest is that the relationship will not have much problems, which makes a relationship last longer. And you will earn the trust of the other person.
The main point is that small lies are okay and they can be forgiven easily. But its important for you to be honest with your bf or gf of something big because if you lie about them, its going to create bigger problems.

You need to spend more time thinking. "Honesty" is just a component of Integrity: people with integrity are who they say they are. Their emotions, their thoughts and their actions are congruent.
Integrity, flexibility, confidence, respects their self and others, self-disciplined: these are key Character traits.
Attitude & Character are what is important in any relationship (friendship, romantic or otherwise).
You can add in affectionate and romantic if this is a romantic relationship.
Integrity is key only because it is so often missing, and it is how good people get abused by people who seem good, but turn out to be predators. But all the character issues and attitude are important.
You should also ask yourself how you measure up in these areas. Make it a point to better yourself so you can keep somebody who has good character and attitude because they won't put up with poor character or crappy attitudes.

Love honesty. It is so incredibly relaxing to be around someone you know is going to tell you the truth. You don't have to guess what they mean, or read between the lines. You can take what they say at face value and it is very very nice. Not weak at all.
