Red is a label that you were taught. The rose is an expression, or extension. You are not separate from the rose.
It is life itself expressing itself through beauty. I am quite lovely, don't you think?

Why is the Rose not red? What is the sound of one hand clapping? If a tree falls in the woods, and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?
You seem to be proposing a Buddhist koan. Or if not, then you certainly asking a very strange question. I suggest that you meditate on red. Then meditate on the rose, and then ask yourself deep down is the Rose really there at all, or is it transient and ever-changing?
Failing this approach it is suggested that you paint your roses red, for in doing so you will avoid all future confusion, and possibly have an Alice in Wonderland moment at the same time! Which could be kind of fun.
