do this download a couple weeks ago and could not get it validated no matter how hard I tried, I tried both ways to validate too and finally gave up and installed a Mozilla firefox browser instead. So I use both and would like to update the IE 6 one to IE 7, but I don't want to lose my favs.

Also I hear there is a Firefox 2 browser out now, how do I tell if I have 1 or 2?

Hi Tawyna,
No your favorites will be ported into IE7. They will all be there. I updated mine several weeks ago & I love IE7.
I used to use Firefox but I had a lot of trouble with sites it didn't support. Any site that requires Active X will not work with Firefox.
To see what version of Firefox you have open the program and select Help from the toolbar then select About. That will give you the version information.

your Favorites will be imported automatically i believe
i dont know about validating, but To check firefox, go to "help" then "about mozilla firefox" and it will say what version. If you want 2 but dont have it, click "check for update" which is also in the help menu.

I have Internet Explorer 7, and I still have my favorites on the toolbar.

IE7 SUCKS!
I would suggest waiting a while longer before upgrading.
I hate it.
If you want multi tab support, try Opera or Firefox
