well this guy (joe) is my ex, he recently broke up with me last week (The week before that he proposed, and says we r stil engaged even tho we rnt dating at the moment) he said he was confused and scared, he was under alot of stree lately and wanted some time to think. im his first love.
i guess i understand that. he said that when he understands more we will get back together, dont know when that is going to be. well the day after we broke up, one of his friends that liked him asked him out and he said yes just out of whim. he doesnt like her like that and she knows that. but the problem is im waiting for him and its rly hard. especially when there are other ppl that like u, he says go out with them and that when hes ready if im going out with someone, that he will wait for me.
i just cant do that, it seems like i dont know how. i love him, and its rly hard to do when all i think about is him.

Sounds like he's FULL of excuses! He's trying to move on and so should you. He's telling you to date other people which means that he CAN STAND TO LOSE YOU TO SOMEONE ELSE! The fact that he says he can wait if that occurs sounds like he's just a little too cocky for his own good. He thinks YOU ARE HIS and no one else reallly stands a chance at "GETTING" you like he has. He'll just "do his thing" and come back to you when he's done. Consider it a blessing that he was "man enough' to back out before it was too late. Pleeeeeease I emplore you to move on. Life is too short!
Remember....You Teach people how to treat you.
If you except this, you will accept anything.
This is equivalent to giving someone a pass to cheat.

Souonds like this guy wants to have his cake and eat it too. Your engaged but he is going to see other people untill he is sure that he wants to be engaged. That has to sound a bit insane to you. He is using the love you have for him to get away with something that is unacceptable. RUN WHILE YOU CAN. Don't waste a day of your life waiting for this idiot. Cry, moarn, get oevr it and move on.

Waiting means waiting - doesn't mean it's OK to date. He is trying not to burn his bridge with you, date other girls, and do whatever and MAYBE, someday, you 2 can reunite. WHAT a crock of BULL! You can play along with his game if you need to, but I sure wouldn't advise it. He's WAY too immature - could take years for him to get it together if ever.

No offense, but WTF??? Come on now, how he gonna propose and date another woman? All he is doing is putting you off to the side, having his little fun with other women, until he's ready for you again. What is he, testing the waters? If I were you, I'd date other men.
