A few nights ago, my BF went out at midnight and said he was playing basketball. He didn't come home til after two. Do you think he was really playing basketball

The best person to ask is you, how well do you know your boyfriend? Do you think he is lieing to you? If so, why?
If you doubt that he was really doing what he said, then one of two things...
1. You have a trust issue and have trouble trusting what he says
2. He has a lieing issue or something even worse
If he continues to act strange towards you and weird excuses for where he is, then get rid of him. Unless you feel you know him good enough to know he is being honest with you. You have to work to (and so does he) connect to each other so that you know each other well enough to say when you believe the other is lieing.

If you cant trust that he is telling you the truth you ahve more serious problems than midnight basketball. For your question, some guys do go and play at night why Ill never know, but it isnt all that uncommon.

i doubt it...but you never know
he was probly doing something that he didn't want you to know about...like drugs...drinking...or cheating
