My boyfriend and i have been together for 6 months,in that time,he has never given me any compliments...we never even had a long conversation. No matter how much i open up to him he never communicates back. Hes like a texting machine,he texts me more than talks in person. I was always the first one to make the first move,he never hugs, kiss,or hold hands unless i make the first move. I gave him time, but he still is too shy. I really cant take it anymore,i know he really likes me, but i dont know how to break the ice to him.

tell him you don't feel a strong connection, he seems distant, and you don't want to hurt him but it'd be worse to lead him on... soooooo, bye.

If he is so removed how do you know he is in love with you? Assuming he is, the longer you wait to tell him that it isn't going to work out between the two of you the more difficult it will be, the worse he may feel, and quite frankly the more miserable you will be. I'm all for giving things time but if after 6 mos. you aren't getting what you need from him it's time to move on. Tell him exactly how you feel and be sure to tell him that you wished it would have worked out. But first I suggest telling him how you feel and see what he says. If he isn't receptive take that as your cue. If he says he'll try give him some time and see what happens. If no change you know what to do. Just don't wait another 6 mos. to do it.

You have to do it honestly and you have to do it soon. Why?

1st because you don't want to lie, plus if you're honest it could help him in future relationships.

2nd because if you stretch it out it will be more difficult to do and he'll wonder why you led him on so long.

So really by doing it this way you're really doing him a favor and being a good person. You have to choose what you need in life, and you need to move on to someone who will give you the attention you crave. There's nothing wrong with that.

Good luck to you!

um what you can do is have one on one conversation not a place where there's people somewhere where you know your not going to be bothered. like walking around your neighborhood something like that. He only text messages you b/c he can't tell you in person cause he's nervous. One thing don't expect him to do things cause if you do then he's just not going to do them. Either he's shy or he's not taking you for real. but still he should get over it being shy cause if a guy is really shy then chances will past him by.

Before you break up with him, tell him just what you said here, but tell him in a nice way. He may have no clue that he's acting this way. Don't break up with a guy just because he's clueless to what he is doing this.

Honestly and quickly, the longer you wait the worse for both of you.

Tell him exactly what you said on here - it isn't working out for you and you're not happy. Bottom line - enough said.
