you need to find a way to make your friend understand that this sort of behavior is completely addictive and that even though she is starting with the intentions of just doing it for a few weeks, it almost never ends up being that limited.
This is a cycle that she is starting that she might not be able to fight her way out of.
Help her find healthier ways of losing the weight like eating patterns and workout plans.
good luck to you!

SHe's only going to be bulimic for 3 weeks??? Yea, that's what I said 11 years ago when my bulimia started. I was only going to do it until I lost that last 7 pounds. Well, here I am 11 years later...still bulimic. She is setting herself up for a life long struggle and unhappiness. She's needs professional help and the kind of help that you can't give her. You should tell your guidance counsler or a teacher at school. Her parents also need to know what's going on. Trust me, living with bulimia is not a life that anyone wants.

That is NOT what bulimia is. Bulimia is not something you only have for 3 weeks.. It's a mental condition and you have no control over it. If people could control it, then there wouldn't be people DYING everyday from it. It puts a terrible strain on your heart. So she is probably looking for attention.

She is NOT going to do it for 3 weeks and will destroy herself and her life. But you probably can't help her. She needs professional help. See the website below for some ideas on what to do and to read up about the disease itself:

Tell her parents. People die from being bulimic. You need to get her professional help.
