In my opinion race should not matter. Although to be honest it may be hard because people do judge. If you guys really like each other than that is all that matters. You guys will have to deal with haters together and learn to ignore them. Good Luck! You guys keep your head up! God Bless!

You did no mention your age, which is important with this issue. If you are still under 18, living at home, you should honor your parents' wishes. However, if you are old enough to make your own decisions legally, then try to talk with your parents & see if they will agree to at least MEET this guy & be open minded about it. Be sure & explain that this isn't seroius yet, he's only a dear friend, but you would really like them to be a part of your life & meet with him. They may find that he is really nice & the type of man they'd appreciate their daughter going out with. Maybe he could spring for a dinner at THEIR favorite restaurant (meeting on "common ground" is sometimes better than meeting at one's home) & show them that he honors their nationality & would do ANYTHING to make their daughter happy. Good Luck!

omg i'm indian!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
wow i'm surprised that HIS family is okay with you two going out..lol usually i see indians being all "gossipy" and discouraging interracial relationships
but if you guys love each other i think you should go for it..my cousin (indian) married a phillipine girl last year and at first it was a hostile environment for them but now everyone's really used to it..they even have a cute baby girl :)
you should let your family know that race shouldnt be a problem..it's the personality of a man that matters..if he will show you how to have a good time and if he can care for you..and from my experience with indian guys, i think you're in for a good deal because they're the nicest, sweetest, n most loyal people around
anyways..good luck with your parentz

It's your life---I don't know how old you are but if things progress and you end up serious with this person and could spend the rest of your life with them, that's not their business. They're not the one's living w/ him/marrying him/etc. I wish people would get with the times and be more open minded.

depends how old you are and if you live at home still. If you have your own life then you have to be happy for yourself and not your family. they cannot run your life. if you live with them and you are not old enough to move out then they do have a great influence in your life. maybe introdue him and they will like him.

The race does not matter...
your the one that would be dating him...not your family..
and family members should not be racist..thats not the way to live and teach others about hate...
Date him and enjoy your self

That's bs, you're family needs to get over it. You can't love someone for your family, you have to have to love someone because of WHO THEY ARE, not what they are. If your family can't accept that, then you probably don't need them anyway.
