Basically the only reason I'm really attracted to this person right now is because they are in a serious relationship, and I can't have her. We were both single at one point and I did not pursue a relationship with her because I knew we were wrong for each other. But for the last 3 months, I want everything to do with her but she is for real about this relationship. It's obvious she is not going to leave him for me, and I know deep down, she is not the girl for me.
So how do I get over her? How long does it take for this lust to fade away?
I thought I was over her but I just went to a party last weekend and she was there, and It became pretty apparent I'm not over her. Why can't I move on even though I know she is not the right girl for me? When can I maintin a friendship with her without ever wanting something more? Is this impossible?

i had that same thing happen to me once but i was the one in the relationship. I think its something about having what you cant have that drives us to want it more, and if you know she is not the right girl for you and you really do care for her you should put your lusting feelings aside and move on try hanging out with other groups, meeting new girls, have some space from her and for yourself. You will move on one day when you find ""the right girl" but time does heal all believe me. good luck!

The best thing to do is just stay away from her period. No, you cant be friends at this point because you will have those feelings all over again and end up getting hurt. Trust me, I have been through this with someone that was all wrong for me and wasn't even a nice person. Something kept pulling me back in to him and I just kept getting hurt over and over again until I finally wised up and stayed away from him. I think it also may be an ego thing that you refuse to believe that it wont work. My best advise is stay away and move on eventually you will get over these feelings. Good luck.

You will find yourself getting over her sooner than you think. Someone else (that you may have a chance with) will grab your attention, and your crush will fade away. If you are desperate to get over it, find something that you don't like about her, and think about that every time you see her!

she's not made for you. That's the phrase you have to put inside your mind and then believe in it....tell me dear, who knows best? God, isn't it? Yes, so, why do you feel like you should deny god's destiny and then choose what you think you deserve? Love comes softly , always like that......furthermore, love is too beautiful to be ruined by this girl you know that she is not yours...

If she's the wrong one for you just keep telling yourself that.
