we went to a stand up show at harahs casino and the guy started calling him scooter... but then he said that I am number one... later on in an e-mail I had problems with my keyboard... so I said that I was NUBER 1

Let him choose the pet name (nick-name) he wants to call you.
If You want a few examples. My husband called me Honey Bunny when we were first dating and still does now and then when he's "In the mood". Long before we got married he started calling me Mi Vida Or Vida for short (Spanish for My Life).
