I had my first stage experience when I was your age. (I'm an old man now.) In my junior high school play I got the part of a villain. Well, it's opening night; I went out on stage and I was so scared I just frooze. Then, the audience started to boo me. I started shaking and crying and ran off the stage. "What the blazes is wrong with you,?" said my irate drama teacher. With tears running down my red face I replied, "They're booing me."
"They're supposed to," he said in disgust, "You're the villain; that's part of the show!"
No one told me before I went on that this was part of the show. Well, I went back out, still a little shaky and scared, but made it through the play OK. My friends told me I was really good. From there, I eventually went on to win acting wards -- locally -- and loving to get out on the stage. You will too, you just need to get through your stage fright. There is no way around it, so just get out there and do it!

To learn how to sing better you can find some course online. Try this http://improvesinging.keysolve.net it's the best online course! These are the main point to improve to sing better: 1. Breathing 2. Pitching (keeping in tune) 3. Articulation (especially for karaoke, it's important that you sing clearly as you would speak clearly- like remembering to finish words like 'Want' with an accented 't' sound at the end 4. Texturisation (this involves using dynamics in your voice to go louder and softer, more raspy then whispery to paint a textured picture journey along the way of the song!) For you some tips: -Find a song which you can sing before you go. If you could let me know your gender, how good you are at singing, and whether you have a deep or high voice I'll be happy to recommend a few for you -Take DEEP breaths during breaks in the song. Use any gaps to take in as much air as possible. Air is your bullets, your voice is your gun. ill the gun with the biggest, baddest bullets for best effects. But don't breath into the microphone! -Don't get too drunk before you sing- even if nervous. If you stay sober, bear in mind you'll sound better anyway because other people might be under the influence! -Make sure you use your WHOLE mouth to make the words sound clear. Don't mumble through tight lips. Practice making 'oooh' sounds and 'aaah' sounds and 'eeee' sounds into a mirror. See what your mouth wants to do instinctively. -Practice, Practice, Practice before the event so you'll know the song inside out. Don't get cocky though- you're nerves might throw you a bit so always keep an eye on the screen. Karaoke tracks might even be written differently to the original! -Have fun, and don't take yourself too seriously. People who take themselves seriously at karaoke are never liked as much as people who know they aren't as good, but put in an effort to try their best. It's a case of the underdog winning every time.

It's something you have to feel comfortable with, you can't just stop being shy. Start off small, practice in front of a close friend or family member and keep working your way up. If you wanna be famous one day it's gonna take hard work ! Goodluck hope this helped (:

Just keep singing, whenever you can. Sing when walking to school or something. Or try singing at some kind of costume affair (like a halloween dance).
See if you can get your voice recorded, and send it under a pseudonymn to an agent.
Just remember, the only true failure is not trying. Why are you shy or afraid? Would you rather fail at singing or succeed at packing chocolate boxes in a factory?
It won't just go away, you have to face it. Everyone faces shyness and stagefright, some deal with it, others run away.

If you want to become a better singer, improve your singing voice and are considering an online course I strongly recommend this site:
http://howtosing.toptips.org
I am big fan of this online singing course. You can watch a video more times until you can grasp each concept. Even if the program runs on a 10-day period, you can spend more or less, depending on your own pace. All the guides and tools included in this program are designed by professionals. This means you will learn transitions, changes and voice modification techniques like a pro! It comes with a plethora of exercises, allowing you to improve any aspect of your voice.
It definitely the best alternative to expensive lessons with vocal coaches. Try it and you'll see great results!

It's very possible to learn to sing well. You just need to know the right methods. Learn here https://tr.im/improveyoursinging
Singing teachers will cost money and can be expensive so they're not for everyone. Singing can be learned so it's not an "either you have it or you don't" kind of thing.
Whether you sound like crap or you're decent, I recommend this singing course. It's one of the best methods to learn to sing well in a short amount of time. It's all about using efficient techniques that work.

As a singer and a Thespian, I am often put on stage in front of people, and what I do to beat stage fright is I pretend I'm someone else.
Someone really confident, bubbly, and fun with a great personality.
I also pray to Jesus before every performance for strength to complete my task.
Don't let stage fright hold you back. If you have a talent, share it with the rest of the world and love every minute of it!
Break a leg,
Marin.

I was 13 when this happened to me( Freshman ) I really love singing but I never showed it to anyone. Mostly because my sister was kind of the "star" of the family... Her voice is amazing! No one ever knew that I also was a singer, or wanted to be one... In 2014, There were flyers for doing audition for our school talent show. I REALLY wanted to do auduitions, but I was too shy. A week later, before the last auditions started, One of my teachers asked who wanted to do auditions, because they needed more talented people. I was like, f*ck it (sorry for my language xd) So I asked my friend (who plays the piano) to join me. Firstshe was unsure, but then we both agreed to do it. So we had like 3 days to practice for the auditions. When I was on stage, I was so scared, It was my first time on stage. and my voice was shaking a lot. I was singing "someone like you". So I started to sing, and the beginning was not very good, because of my nerves. But then it went better and better!! Everyone complimented us, because we were the youngest participans and they thought we were really good. And the jurors said we could participate with the school talent show. And then we decided to join it every year !! This year, we also participated it..
Seriously, you just have to do it, even through your scared af.
You also get a lot of compliments from random people at school,
and then you're like a school celeb xD (lol that kinda happened to me hahah)
xx
(Sorry for my bad grammar btw, I'm not a native English speaker)

well victoria, I was faced with the same situation when I began singing. I wanted to audition for my schools choir, and no one knew that I could sing either. I wanted to tryout, but it was too hard for me to sign my name. After I auditioned, I came to the realization that it was more stressful to decide on whether to tryout than it was to actually do it. My point is that you should do it and everything will fall into place.
Now if stagefright is your problem, than just remember that you can sing. Every person, whether he/she is a bussiness man or a violinist, has to go through stagefright. For some, they never see it again. For others, like me, they might get nevous every preformance. But after the preformance has been done, you will get less nervous from the rest of your shows
