im big in the butt area... and no, it isnt muscle. are there any exercises or cardio workouts to lose the fat on my butt?

I would suggest squats and lunges. I have also been told by personal trainers that contracting the butt muscles for 30 seconds or so, 10-15 times is a great way to tone the butt muscles, and this can be done almost anywhere, including work!! Also, while lunges and squats will help, it is important to include cardio work to your routine to help lose the fat. While the squats and lunges will strengthen your muscles, they will not get rid of the fat already there. I would also consider purchasing a workout video that targets your problem zone. I have used Buns of Steel by Tami Lee Webb and have found them very affective.

Well, this may sound funny but it works.
Ok, first get on your hands and knees and extend one leg out to the side make a circle with it you should feel it working in the opposite leg.
