I was in the shower washing my hair and I noticed I had a tender knot about 2 inches away from my left year and about 2 inches from my neck. I did not hit my head on anything. Do I have glands in that area? I didnt notice it till the shower and its sore. It does not move and its hard.

You have a lymph node in that approximate area. If you've recently been sick, or are about to get sick, they'll swell a little because they're producing white blood cells to fight off infection. If it hasn't gone down in about 2 weeks, go to the doctor to make sure everything's ok.

Inflamed hair follicle most likely. Give it a couple days, don't pick at it if you can help it. Have a friend look at it. If it's just a bumb like a bug bite, it'll go away.
If it's still there at the end of the week, see a doctor.

You might have hit your head in your sleep, or it's just some kind of zit that got really big. I would wait a day or two, and if it is still there then seek some pro. help.

Get that checker by your doctor and do not play . it could be harmless , could be a spider bite .

get it checked out by a PHd if you are worried about it, i would reccomend it
