I'm coughing a lot, and when I cough it hurts. It kinda feels like I did 98734587 crunches. My leg muscles are all sore, and I've had an on and off fever.

Sweetie, it sounds like you have the flu. I'm not 100% certain but typically the flu is accompanied by various body aches (yes, it will feel like you've done 127854693756846572988732 crunches!!) simply because while you're coughing, you are using muscles you typically don't use on a daily basis so you end up with this achy feeling when you're coughing. It can drive you nutty at times. Try not to worry. If after several days (at least 3-4) you are not feeling better, go to your doctor to see if he/she can prescribe you some medicine to make you feel more comfortable until this subsides. Remember to get plenty of rest, drink plenty of fluids and eat lightly. Remember the BRAT rule (eat Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, and Toast). You may have some weight loss so if you eat these foods while you're recovering, you'll be able to replenish alot of the nutrients you've lost during recovery. Hope you feel better right away!

Some sort of Upper Resp Infection... probably of the common cold/flu variety... Take a fever reducer (tylenol/advil/aspirin) and a cough syrup with an expectorant in it (some generic version of Rubitussin DM -- I really like the taste of Target's store brand). I also use, and recommend, the generic versions of Dayquil/Nightquil. As long as the fever stays manageable. If the cough gets so bad that you can't lay own or get to sleep, call your doc (or the night on-call) and ask for an RX cough syrup.

If the fever goes over 102 or lasts more than a couple days, you might need an anti-biotic to kick it. If the crap coming up from your lungs is any color but white or very pale yellow, or it tastes like it's rotted, you might need anti-biotics (NOTE: Pay no attention to the color of your first couple coughs right after you wake up!).

DRINK LOTS OF WATER... this loosens up the crap in your lungs!!!!! Take hot showers... steam helps clear sinuses and lungs.

Note: You are describing me and my wife perfectly right now -- it's going around!!!

Do you suffer from allergies? You might have a sinus infection or bronchitis. Both of which need to be treated by a doctor. Though I don't about the pain in your abs (since that's what crunches affect), but if you have pain in your chest, then that's what this could be. And the coughing happens a lot when you have either a sinus infection or bronchitis. If you are coughing up green mucous, then you have an infection. Yellow mucous is normal.

some sort of viral respiratory thing since there's a fever with it. take Delsyum cough syrup to cough less and Tylenol or Advil if the fever bothers you. see a doctor if it isn't gone within a week.

Sweetie, get on bed, ask your mom / or whoever, to prepare you a warm lemon juice with honey. Drink it and cover yourself with a thick blanket and sweat as much as possible. Also rub on yourself some Vick VapoRub. It should take care of your problem. If you want to go to the doctor, feel free to do so, but it is usually a waste of time. God bless.

Might be bronchitis or pneumonia. See your docotr ASAP. You may or may not need an antibiotic. if it is viral, they can still give you tesalon pearls or codiene to quiet the cough so you don't pull your adominal muscles.

Muscle pains in the legs is the first signs of Mononucleosis. AKA mono. aka the kissing disease.
