One of my best guy friends left me a card in my backpack; in it is him confessing his love to me, and saying that he wants to talk to me. I'm kinda creeped out cause i think of him only as a friend. I understand the word "like" or "crush", but I think that "love" is too strong of a word to say so soon. He's been hanging around near me to see if I got the card. I'm just trying to act normal, as if nothing happened. I can't avoid him or anything, he's one of my friends for crying out loud! What should I do?

there is nothing you can do now to have things back to normal. i'm a guy that has done something that is almost exactly the same. he will never feel the same, no matter what your answer is. i know.
don't do anything, wait until he asks you about it, then have a long talk with him. but first: do you like him? even at all? i think life is about taking chances. when the girl that i confessed my love to told me that she just wanted to be friends, i died. plain and simple. we are "just friends" now, but when i hang out with her, i feel as if she is a knife in my chest, it just hurts. i don't want her completely out of my life, but staying friends just adds salt to the wound. there is no easy way out. i'm sorry that you're going through this, and i can say that 100% sincerely.

Tell him that. You just need to tell him you think of him as a friend, and that you don't mind if he has a crush on you or anything, but that 'love' is to strong of a word in your opinion.

well, i think that if you don't feel the same for him you should tell him. This happened to me, and I gave it a shot and it didn't work out and now the 2 of us are closer than ever, but do what evre you feel is right. Good luck :)

I would be honest and tell him that you do not want to take a chance in ruining one of the best friendships you have...believe me it will happen if you date him and you all split up...tell him you love him as a friend and do not ever want to lose that. Hope this helps.

just ignore the card, i think its his way of saying he wants to be more of a friend. give him sometime maybe he'll get over it.
