A second degree burn gets white and puffs up. much like a blister. It fills with fluid and can be very sore. It is usually red on the surface and painful to the touch. Apply cool compresses for relief of pain. You can alos apply a topical ointment like Solarcaine. usually in a couple of days the redness and bliseter will subside. Try not to pop the blister as the tender skin underneath can get infected.

This is a blister. It is supposed to happen. It means your white blood cells are rushing to protect the injured skin from developing infection. Do not break the blister. It is there for your protection. Use a cooling product. Apply a bandage and some neosporin. If the burned area is large, see a doctor.

yea
seems a bit serious, might want to ask a doctor about it, (or some medical site, not yahoo answers)

depending on the burn, if it is a 1st degree itll just puff up a bit and get red. 2nd degree do the saem as the 1st, except that skinwill fall off, (depding on the severity), and possibly replaced by scar tissue, and a 3rd degree would be skin is completely black, (like charcoaled), and in that youll need to go to the emergency room.

It's just part of the healing process.

White blood cells and serum are moving to the area to actually do the healing.

NB: Any burn to the face, hands, feet, genitals, or any burn that covers more than 5% of the body should be looked at by a doctor

sounds like a blister. it is normal, but if not taken care of properly it can become infected. It wouldnt hurt to see a doctor to check if it is ok.
