Well i breed rottweilers and i too was on here last night when this person was asking for help And yes it is possible to rip a sac open and come on here and ask questions and YES sometimes females will eat the pups if something is wrong with them either that or they push them to the side and let them die. But glad to see all you point seeking people got your points even though they are not worth a thing.

Glad to hear mama and pups are okay. Keep an eye on them, and call the vet if any of them look weak or are not nursing. Sounds like this is a first time for you,so it might be wise to call and talk to the vets office so they can tell you what to look for. Some communities have a spay/neuter program which offer reduced or free procedures. Having her spayed in a few months will avoid you going through this again. You will also have to find good homes for them, so good luck. What kind of puppies are these?

9 pups, huh? What breed?

I hope you get the mama spayed as soon as possible, and get the pups neutered and spayed before giving them away or selling them.

Low cost spay and neuter programs are listed on my website.

I'm sorry I can't congratulate you. This is why:

One unspayed female and her offspring could theoretically produce 67,000 dogs in just 6 years! No reputable breeder wants that on their conscience.

You just added to the long line of dogs awaiting a premature death. And not all of them are done so humanely. Many are gassed, packed as many as possible into a "kill box," where the gas can take anywhere from 6 - 20 minutes to kill the dog or puppy, depending on it's age. They fight and attack each other, and claw themselves bloody as they fight for air.

Still others are drowned in 50 gallon drums of rain water, because the shelters don't "have the money" or "won't spend the money" giving them a humane death.

Sorry if this sounds "harsh or rude," but I see first hand what happens to the unwanted, dumped, and homeless dogs that are born, accidental AND intentionally bred.

Congratulations on you large family additions!! Glad to hear that they are all okay. My dog had 8 pups 2 weeks ago and they are all doing fine.

I am not sure what kind of dog you have, but I would check with your vet about supplementing the pups. I have a pug, and the vet recommended that I supplement because she is a small dog with many pups. Again, congratulations! It is a very rewarding experience!!

Because your post indicated you were not serious. Why did you remove the previous questions?
Just for all to know she said the mom ate one pup and she was just going to let the other pup and the mother die. She removed the question so no one would see the questions and everyone would feel sorry for her because people were so "mean" to her.

I am sorry I still don't believe you, but that is ok. It is no big deal if I did or not. But When you said one is dead and she was eating it, and how you were going to leave the other one die. That might have been the first clue. The second clue was the emails you sent me. Anyone get on here and say how a puppy was dieing and the mommy was eating it, and how you were going to let the other one die.. In my opinion doesn't deserve a dog or an puppy.

What am I missing here??? I checked your prior questions, there is nothing showing any questions concerning a dog whelping pups. Of course, if the content got abusive, Yahoo could have deleted the question and answers.

OH, and to respond to ber .... there is a major difference between a mom cleaning her pups and one eating a pup.
'
But since I cant see the original question and answers I have no way to get my facts straight on this one.

I agree with libertydogtraining. It doesn't make you somehow big or clever just because your bit ch had puppies. In fact, if she did, you should be hanging your head in shame that you didn't get her spayed before it was too late, not boasting about it. If you're for real, get the dog neutered, NOW.

and she answers!! HA girls, take your argument to the phone, not Yahoo Answers.

The mother was not eating the puppy. Its called whelping, and the mother has to do that in order for the puppies to breathe.

and by the way, my dog just had 12 puppies and 4 died during birth. it usually happens in every litter. So get your facts straight. anger stems from ignorance.

I don't know, perhaps they just didn't want to believe you because they're stubborn.
