Hey...people shouldn't bash relationships where there's a big age difference. I'm 17 and my boyfriend is 20 with a birthday coming up soon. We've been dating for 3 years and we haven't even *had* sex (any form of it). He loves me a lot and treats me like a princess and NEVER pushes me to do anything. I'm not saying that older guys don't look to take advantage of younger girls...everyone knows that's true...but I'm just saying it's not always the case! No one here knows this guy so you can't assume either way. Maybe, just maybe, he might actually want TO DATE HER =O!!! It's not like that's an impossibility...if loves her he doesn't care what her age is. Steriotypes are stupid and I especailly hate this one.

Not at all but she's not of legal age either. 5 years is nothing. If it were 15 or 20 it would be different. Most 22 year old guys still have a lot of the kid left.

He may be immature. He may also be looking for a sense of stability and family, at 17 she is still bound by the rules of her home and has a pretty predictable schedule...He is facing new freedom and responsibility and quite possibly a lot of alone time. In my house, they follow the rules of the youngest member of the couple.... which means, they dont get to go to his apartment. period. For the most part, I have found that it never lasted long.

that age difference isn't that bad , i mean at 17 a girl should know what she's doing and it ain't like a 22 yr old guy is that much maturer than her anyway, i don't think thats that bad

He probably wants sex. Nothing wrong with sex in and of itself, but the fact that he can't or won't find a girl his own age should be a red flag. And then there's the whole statutory rape thing to watch out for.

That is not that much spread in age. He wants sex likely. He is human you know. Mabey he is a great person and may want more than sex. Check out his past relationships, if any. But when I was 22 sex was numero uno. um pa pa mow mow!!
