ok, i've liked this guy for three years, and all of a sudden, recently, he likes me too. last week we were just getting to know eachother and it was going great except my parents think he's a bad influence and won't let me hang out with him. but last friday he messaged me and said he doesn't think its going to work out between us, but he had good hopes..because my parents hate him and he's still not over his girlfriend (they've been on and off for 2-3 years) and he loves her too much to let her go...so what do i do?? i really like him so much and can't get my mind off this. what would you do?? what should i do?? i wanna go out with him badly.

Now I'm not trying to be mean, but why "all of a sudden" do you think this guy is suddenly into you.
Seems to me that this guy is consistently having probs with his girlfriend, breaking up, dating others, and then returning back to the dumb ***** who keeps taking him back.

You really don't want to be the "break girl." Any woman in this situation deserves someone better.

If you've liked this guy for 3 years, why didn't he ask you out the first time they broke up - was there someone else who he liked better? And from the description you gave, it seems like you knew this guy before he started dating this other girl. Why weren't you the one he asked out? If a guy is into you, he's gonna ask you out (or at least try to get into your pants as the case may be when your 25 and at a bar). Really ask yourself, why he waited 3 years to "finally" get to you.

As a personal rule, if a guy is single, and I know him and like him, he has 1 month to ask me out, otherwise he's not interested enough. And I deserve that. And if he's not willing to give it, then I'll find it somewhere else.

Do yourself a favor. He may seem great, but there's gonna be someone better, not some schmoe who waits 3 years to ask you out, then dumps you because he's still in love with his ex. Find a nicer guy, maybe a guy who's cute but a little nerdy, they tend to give the attention that a girl deserves.

And I know this is long winded (I'm a law student I can't help it), but always give "some" merit to your parents opinion. If they really disliked this guy, there's probably a good reason, maybe a real one that they didn't share with you. Your parents know you better than anyone else in the world, and they want what's best for you. If they think a guy isn't good for you, chances are they are probably right. At least hear them out, you don't have to let them dictate your life - but they can give some outside perspective.

move on!!!

how much of a loser do you think you are?

are you thinking that he is the only guy out there?

do you like waiting and waiting and waiting for some guy who wont commit to you for THREE years?

what are you waiting for?

your best F years are right now!!! dont waste them waiting for some guy. beleive me, you like him because you cant have him...if you ever got together with him...you'll find that he is just another immature jerk like all the other guys you know that are your and his age.

here's a tip. your parents are RIGHT! they have been on the earth a hella lot longer than you and have gone through all the F ups already. theyre trying to save you the headache of you going through.

why the F does every teenager (esp F'ed up girls) think that their parents are trying to control them. do you think they want to ruin your life? do you think that they want your money? do you think that they are nazi's and want to gas you? what? what is it? do you think your parents are total stupid morons and they have no idea what they are talking about? do you think that they are 'old fashioned' and have no idea how 'young and hip' teenagers think and live? they try to warn you of all these things because they have done all the sh!t that you have done and will do. yeah, it will be to different slang, clothes and music...but theyve done all the same cr@p that youve done...and most likely much more!

if they think this boy is a bad influence...chances are pretty high that he is a piece of sh!t. do you have an older brother? if you do, does he also want to beat the sh!t out of him as well because he is a piece of smelly slime? if your brother is old enough to know what guys are like...chances are that he will rip out his heart if he had the chance.

so...

what should you do?

forget the F'N loser piece of sh!t. but chances are you wont...because you have to cling onto to some silly immature fanatasy that your pus$y is good enough to steal him away from the girl he is with right now. girls love that drama...it is the most annoying thing in the world!!! girls want THAT guy...they dont see the better guy standing right next to the loser that will amount to a big huge ZERO in life. well, he will get about 4 to 5 girls pregnant and not pay any child support...hey, you could be no 2 or 3!!! what are you going to name your bastard child?

It's better to leave him get over his girlfriend first. He could leave you for her again and again, which would be devestating to you. Move on, he'll come around when he is ready, but he may miss the boat cause you could find someone meanwhile. He knows you care and that should be enough for now.

Go out with him, let him love you and leave you.

Seriously, that is what life is about :)

PS how old are you? You might want to start working at your independance because eventually your parents cannot dictate who you will hang out with.

Good luck!

You just said that he still likes his girlfriend.
Do you wanna be "the other"?
Go out with your friends, go dancing! You will find another guy.

Besides that thing about it: Your parents will always want the best for you.

have some self respect and leave the guy alone..if he's unsure of going out with you, then you shouldnt force him because it will hurt even more if he goes out with you and then you guys break up

if parents think he's a bad influence on you, then they're prolly right. parents have a good sense of judging guys for their daugthers so i suggest you stay away from him...and who knows maybe if you stay away from him, he'll start to miss you and will call you up..you know how they say guys love the chase so maybe you should try to get him to step up his game to get you..be hard to get :)

good luck with that

welll... first of all ur parents have absolutely NOO business in ur personal life. just go hang out with him anyway. dont tell ur parents. go out with a group of people, him included. n if u wanna go out alone juss sayy that someone else is goin with u too. second, wait for him. if they were really that in love they wouldnt be on n offf theyd be straight on. so if hes smart hell realize its not worth being in a relationship with all these ups n downs.

Hang out with him and make a move, see how he reacts (he probably is not going to stop) and then take it from there. If he likes you he will continue the relationship.

Stop talking to him and having contact with him----you are young so it might seem impossible to get over a guy....it'll definitely take time but you'll get over him

If you have been chasing him for three years and he still is hooked on another girl, move on! He isn't worth your time.
