My little study Bible says that they could have used trickery or illusion, but they could have used satanic power...that is just odd...what do you think?

Please, I asked for Christians only. I know it is a free board, but I'm only asking for perspectives from people that believe this to be the truth.

Don't really matter Moses turned his staff into a snake that ate the other snakes and that power came from God.

They actually used trickery and illusion, much like what david copperfield or lance burton would do in their magic shows. They don't have power because only God have the power to create something from thin air or make something out of nothing. Even satan don't have the ability to create or make the rod into a snake. He can make you think that it is one but he can not make it become one. Satan is just mere creation like you and I. he is limited by the power given by The one Who Created Him. Satan can influence your thinking and nothing more. So to conclude... the pharoh's magician used illusion and trickery....

Satanic Power?

How about the most obvious explanation? It's a fable.

If magic is treated as real, it's fiction. If supernatural beings are alluded to, it's fiction. If snakes talk, it's fiction. If corpses crawl out of graves, it's fiction.

Got it?

And speaking of Satanic........you should read this.

There's a nice little expose of your silly little fable of Satanism.

I would go with Satanic power, because Satan was indeed the prince of this world at that time, and he probably revelled in the fact that he had succeeded in enslaving all the chosen people of God, under Pharoah.

I think that if Benny Hinn can spray up that ridiculous combover to conceal his baldness, and Chris Angel can make a Humvee appear, someone can fake all these things without any supernatural power at all.

I think that the bible is full of myths describing incredible things.

Just like other religions.

Devil powers. Their gods were not real so of the devil.
So when they called upon their gods for help, they were calling upon the devil
