Have been operated 2 weeks ago and am still experiencing some discomfort. Is that normal? I've taken all the medicines prescribed and have not made any strenuous activities or lifted anything heavy as advised by the surgeon.

I think this is normal, my cousin complained for a month about discomfort and numbness close to the incision. Aren't you supposed to go back to the doctor after a couple weeks? So, anyway, as long as it's not real pain, or fever, it's probably normal.

Here is something of interest:

I had my appendix taken out about 11 years ago. The worst of the pain subsided after the first week. There was still some minor pain for another couple weeks, but it was tolerable. If your pain doesn't go away in the next week or two you should check with you physician. Good luck, hope all works out for you.
