Perhaps the society that perfectly and purely served Jesus Christ would be the Johova Whitness. I don't know. Only a handfull of Christians serve Jesus Christ perfectly and purely; on the other hand, there are a significant percentage that know and serve, but still sin.

The Priory of Scion.

The movie the Da Vinci Code (which I did not like very much) is based on both fact and fiction from a book written by Dan Brown.

The Book is terrific and will start you on a journey into many verifyable facts. Some of it is highly dramatized and over the top, but it keeps your attention til the end.

If there wasn't some truth to it, then Christians the world over would not HAVE caused such an uproar trying to boycott its release (this exact controversial boycotting of films the Christians do not like) causes these enormous box office results.

My point is- there are all kinds of secret societies and/or low profile churches and gatherings who meet to discuss very different interpretations of the bible directly from the texts of ancient manuscripts.

Most of the religions of the world have been corrupted- with regard to Christianity- I suggest reading the Gnostic Gospels by Professor Elaine Pagels.

This interesting story of (purposly) forgotten scriptures is very enlightening.

The truth is out there- you just have to look for it.

The whole idea of "secret societies" is contrary to the Epistle to the Galatians where Paul fought against the idea of secret knowledge. We are told that all things necessary for life and godliness have been given to us. Whether we use those things are not is our choice. Secret societies will try to convince you that there are things you can't know unless you are part of their organization. That is contrary to everything I have read in the Bible. Consequently, I would say that secret societies are failures, because they distort the truth. The body of Christ works openly and honestly to serve the risen Lord. Christ followers are beggars showing other beggars where to find riches.

If it's secret, then they aren't serving Jesus Christ purely..."go and make disciples of all nations." How in the world would a "society" be able to perfectly obey this command and be secret?

I don't know about secret societies, but I know that religion isn't corrupt. True, inaccuracies have occured because of human translation and the way each person interprets the scriptures. But it doesn't make religion defunct.

Each person has a God given talent that helps them know what is right and wrong. With that talent, if you do a little homework yourself, you can find the truth.

Robert,
It doesn't matter whether a society is secret or public, as long as human beings are involved. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
The Ku Klux Klan (which was secret at the time) had noble intentions when it was started and lookkk what it turned into.

There are more than one , but the idea is that those secret societies who serve Jesus Christ try to do good among people , and help anyone who needs help , also fight against hunger and poverty.

If it's secret, either we don't know or can't tell you.
Christian theology would tell you that no human endeavor or embodiment can be perfect.
Pure logic tells you that no one could judge "pure service" so who would determine that achievement.
And what would define pure service? The bible cannot be used as a reference, as it contains 1000s of inconsistencies and known errors. Books have incorrect authors, unknown sources, conflicting data, discarded books. So what would be the standard?

Corrupt officials are using Jesus Christ to hide their wrongdoings. They are committing more sins for using Christ in their irregularities.
