If you have a Bible look at Ephesians chapter 2 verse 8-9 and Titus chapter 3 verse 5. These are from the New Testament of the Bible. If you have difficulty finding them, look in the front of your Bible for the page number.

No, salvation is not about what we will do, it is about what is done for us by Jesus.

Although we are required to believe for salvation, even that faith is part of the gift God which saves and cannot be exercised by one's own power. God's grace is preeminent in every aspect of salvation.

So Christians ( all who accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior ) have been saved by mercy and grace. The grace of God is the source of salvation, faith is the channel, not the cause. God alone saves. Salvation never originates in the efforts of people, it always arises out of the loving kindness of our Maker. : )

Of course you can be saved by your good works.

Just say Allah is great, and Mohammed is his prophet, then memorize a prayer, and say it five times a day while praying toward Mecca.

Or, go to mass, pray the beads to a memorized prayer, light a few candles, and yes, a few more prayers to save you from Pergatory after you die.

Oops! Jesus said the time is now that we worship God in Spirit and Truth.

Yes, you are only saved by the grace of God--and that grace includes His atonement for your sins, His gift of a measure of faith, and Him imparting the Holy Spirit in your life. It will lead you into all truth and enable you to live a Heavenly lifestyle--The Kingdom of God is within you, said Jesus.

O, yes, He will impress you with the need to be baptized. That will symbolize your death to this world and resurrection as BORN AGAIN. Yes, Jesus said you can not enter the Kingdom unless you are born of water and the Spirit.

But those works will not save you, because works do not save, they are an expression of love and thanksgiving to God.

There is more on how one is saved and lost when you break the hidden Bible code in the onlly part of the Bible that say you can not understand it until the end of the days. Check it out at www.revelado.org/revealed.htm

If every physique fails at this, then it is truthfully no longer Jesus. Paul became mentioning that we ought to PERSEVERE in Christ. Even if you don't have a Bible, here's the facts:

Nobody can FORCE God by works, to save them from their sins, simply because God IS God.

Salvation must either be freely GIVEN by God ... or not GIVEN at all.

That's why salvation will always remain a free gift.

Grace, the unmerited favor of God, is the power that invites us to declare our faith in Jesus Christ, through baptism into his church.

And since God desires that all be saved, baptism is ALWAYS 100% effective in sweeping sin from the soul, making one a temple of the Holy Spirit, an adopted child of God, co-heir with Jesus Christ, and a member of the church.

So, might salvation be obtained by works? No.

We obtain salvation in Jesus Christ by accepting his graceful invitation to become a member of his family, through water baptism, in the name of God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

There are other opinions out there. This is traditionally, the most consistent and most conservative.

One must be very, very careful when it comes to matters of eternal destiny.

No. I am imperfect and my righteousness is like a filthy rag. I need the righteousness of Christ imputed to me. Salvation is found in no one else (and nothing else)... there is only one name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved... the name of Jesus (not Allah, Buddha, Mohammad, etc). We could never pay for our sins on any level; only Christ can. Blessings to you!

"Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law." Romans 3:28

"Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified." Galatians 2:16

-Good works will not get you in

-Many who stand before God will think they should enter heaven because of their good works. Jesus tells us in His Word:

"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven… Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many WONDERFUL WORKS?" Matthew 7:21-22

-How shocked they will be when they hear Jesus respond:

"I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." Matthew 7:23
