I love to go camping, and even for a week or so. The thing I hate about this is that my hair gets really icky! I can stand to not shower, because I can just jump in the lake and nobody can smell other smellies because they smell the same! But my hair turns into a greasy and frizzy mess. I have curly hair and it's not as easy as just brushing it up into a pony tail.
Any suggestions or tricks of the trade? I get sick of wearing a baseball cap. Should I just get over it? Just thought I'd see if anybody had tricks.

I find that the easiest way is to pull your hair back and then put a bandana over it all. Even though your hair is greasy, this can look totally cute.

This is not ideal but it works. Bring along a bottle of baby powder. Shake some into your hair, on the top, underneath, all over a good sprinkle. They bend over at the waist and begin brushing. Be sure to do this outside. You will be amazed at how all the greasiness is gone. You might want to bring along one of those "shine" sprays for hair because it will look dull. It's a good trick that works.

Easy, You know like in clothes there's dry cleaning, well there's also dry shampoo. This is just an example http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P147937&categoryId=B70 but go to a salon or a beauty supply store, you'll find it there. Good Luck. Also I heard corn starch or talc, but I would try a proffesional product first. And you can do it before you go camping to see if it really works.

Pigtail braids are always cute. Add a little ribbon at the ends to doll it up and who knows maybe impress a cute lifeguard along the way. Good Luck and have fun!

Get yourself a solar shower. 5 Gallons of water, lay it in the sun for a couple of hours, and hang it up. Bang hot shower. Has shower head and all built in

Be a girl!! lol... take a bottle of shampoo with you when you're camping, then when you jump into the lake to get rid of the smell, wash your hair. I've done it before... its not so bad. It works!
