I'm under the impression that the parents fully believe that stuff as well. In that case, the parents are already 'brainwashed' themselves so I'm not sure if you could really pin the 'blame' on them. It would be the church that's responsible or whoever is 'in charge' at the moment. These people trust that they are doing the right thing and they will listen to the church leaders. I actually don't have a problem with the charismatic part of the whole thing (the moving around, speaking in tongues, etc..) It's their way of 'feeling the spirit' and their worship style. That's none of my business and they should be able to do what they want. I just disagree with some of the stuff they are preaching especially if it involves intolerance of other religions or getting involved with anything political.

Yeah, that film was bizarre. I do not have a problem with kids going to camp to sing campfire songs and clap their hands and dance around, but these poor kids were crying and "speaking in tongues". They looked miserable! I wonder if that causes any kind of psychological difficulties for them down the road?
Note: They weren't worshipping GW, they were praying for him. BIG difference, please do not mix them up.

It's not just "Jesus Camp." Religion itself is a form of brainwashing, teaching children straight from the womb what is true and what is not, rather than letting them think for themselves.

I suppose they believe they are in the truth and opposition is therefore needed to be eliminated through brainwashing. In fact they should have learnt the method from the communist.

These are the typical christians. My neighbor and his family pretend to be 'horses' on saturday nights, wear costumes and run through our garden. I've seen them eating live chickens, and burning elderly gay people on their lawn, on New years eve.
Believe me, that movie is absolutely true.

Better for children to be brainwashed with the truth, rather than brain washed with other such things.

Only insofar as parents could be said to "brainwash" their children by raising them, teaching them right behavior, and giving them ethical standards. You would prefer these parents raised gang members?
