This is your job. Its not like you said "Hey, my friends car broke down, and I'm going to go pick them up." If your boyfriend was working late and called to let you know would you just show up at his office?
I have to agree with your boyfriend on this one. If you wanted him to go to work with you, you'd have to ask. It'd be different if you were off doing something that wasn't your career choice, but that is not the case. Sorry.

Well my goodness !! When I'm on call ..I go and I don't expect anyone to go with me..I knew what the job required when I took the position..I will agree it gets scary going out at night and taking a chance that the patient has idiots for family ..And that you can expect anything and everything to come out of the woodwork. From drug dealers to party animals and family members that don't have enough sense to get in out of the rain..But no don't get mad at the boyfriend..That doesn't do any good..

I would say that if you had received a negative response after asking him to go with you .... then you have something to be upset about. Not having offered doesn't mean he doesn't care about you. Usually work is work and most people wouldn't think to tag along. If he is usually caring and considerate maybe you should give him a break on this one. Wouldn't you rather spend your time laughing and enjoying each other rather than arguing? : )

This is a tough one. On the one hand I would have to side with your boyfriend because, you were working. Before I was married, I dated an EMT who also did volunteer EMT work for her town on the weekend and she was not allowed to have anyone else with her(non-EMT's) while working. On the other hand if it had been me, I might have asked you if you thought you would be ok on your own, and if I sensed from you that you didn't feel like you would be ok going by yourself then I would have asked you if you wanted me to go with you.

That is a tricky situation. I bet he wanted to go but you could have been like why do you wanna go? From there it could have been a serious argument. So next time if you want him to go just ask. If he says no, then get mad.

You have no right to be mad. Do you ask him to go with you? Is he a mind reader? Has he ever offered to go with you before?

You should have asked. You really can't expect men to read your mind. You have to tell them specifically what you want.

in hindsight maybe, but guys don't think so hard. If you want him to do something ASK HIM! He'd be happy to he probably didn't know you wanted an escort.
Men want to please their women but have NO IDEA what you want without you telling us.
