Line Cook- receives orders or orders are called out to you usually you are placed in a section such as -Charbroiler-flat-top grill-plating food . does require some experience.

Prep cook - chopping cutting- dicing-slicing clean-up also usually reponsible for the service of making and plateing salads before meal is served.Great place to start for a newbie.

I started prepping and miss it now. The thing with cooking is once you can work on the line, you will always have work because no matter what everybody in this world will always eat.and the best meals are ones you don't have to cook yourself. Hope this helps," happy cookin"

Pre cook prepares, chops, and sets up like the side dishes that go with the main meal that starts off the plate. The line cook puts it together to make and finish the meal on the plate
