I was wondering if any of you have used or are using the Mirena IUC. Could I continue breastfeeding while on it?
how is your experience with it? Are you very hormonal? How much do you bleed with it? How are your periods if any. Any dramatic changes with your weight since you've been on it? please share all negative and positive experiences

I have it and love it.

You can breast feed with it.

I haven't had a period at all since I had it put in. I did have minor spotting off and on for about a month though, only enough for a panty liner. Most women have shorter, lighter periods, if they have one at all.

It does not cause weight gain.

I took an ibuprofen before it was inserted, it was mildy uncomfortable. It was put in at my 6 week post partum check up. I had mild cramping for about 2 days afterward.

I love that I don't have to remember to take anything every day. I guess the only down side is the unpredictable spotting, it can last for up to 6 months. It wasn't enough to interfere with my sex life, just that I had to have panty liners with me all the time.

Yes I have Mirena. Yes you can breastfeed while using it. I love it. I had no pain having it inserted......was expecting mild cramping. I'm not hormonal at all.........as a matter of fact I used to have VERY BAD PMS..........it seems to be gone now! The first 6 months I had spotting off and on.......was more on then off. Now that it has settled in I get a very light period once a month. Before Mirena I had heavy painful periods. No change in weight. Very pleased I got it.........would definitely recommend it to a friend. Any other questions feel free to email me through yahoo answers.

a chum of mine has it and loves it. She bled for some months nonstop (that's basic) at first, in spite of the incontrovertible fact that. IUDs are the main effective beginning administration you may get, and that they are worry-unfastened. I had Paraguard put in (yet another form), and it grow to be a disaster. I relatively have a uterus that tips lower back, so the wellbeing practitioner had a great form of subject putting it and the cramps I have been given for the time of have been so undesirable, childbirth grow to be particularly much less painful for me. A have been given numerous infections following until I went to a distinctive wellbeing practitioner who discovered that my IUD grow to be no longer in correct (by using fact of my uterus, no longer my wellbeing practitioner's incompetence), and grow to be doing me no sturdy in any respect, and he or she bumped off it. i grow to be fortunate to no longer are becoming pregnant! i will on no account do it lower back, yet while it works for you, choose for it. I want i ought to apply an IUD. lots much less annoying than stupid pills.
