but it's to "prepare you for the real world"
and after you come home you have time to do the crap load of homework they give you.
or else, people can go home and farm, thats why we have summers off anyways.

My guess would be to prepare you for the real world. Although it does suck getting up early, enjoy it while you can because depending on what you do you'll probably be getting up earlier once you get a job =P

i dont like having to get up early, but I'd much rather get up early than stay at school late into the day.
