What you have there is Revelation 3:14, and it is a message from Christ to the
Church of the Laodiceans, and God is not at all happy with that church.
The most important thing to note with this, is that there are a total of 7 churches that messages are being given to by God, now
only 2 of those churches are approved by God (you will find the two approved churches at 2:8 and 3:9 ) and not only that,
but these churches are the ones that will basically make up the churches in the end generation. John was taken in the spirit to the day Christ returns (Lords Day) when he was told to write these notes to the churches. Anyway, you don't wanna be anywhere near this type of church when Christ returns, believe me. He tells them that He see their works, that they are neither cold nor hot, and He wishes they were either one way or the other, but since they are so lukewarm He will spit them out of His mouth. That means they do absolutely nothing, except maybe be politcally correct, not want to stir up anybody, everybody's my brother, God Bless You, every one, peace brother, we love you regardless of what evils you do,
etc etc..These guys stay right smack in the middle and don't take sides; they stand up for nothing, not even their own God. They are good for nothing at all. God does not like people who will not have the backbone to stand up for what is right. This church is very wealthy, and so Christ is telling them that He advises them to go buy some white clothes because the very clothing that you will wear when Christ returns, is made up of your rightious acts (your works). He's telling these guy they better go buy some with the money they have so much of, because otherwise they are gonna be naked as babies when Christ returns.
I hope that helps; but, don't ask me about whether you are going and where - I don't know, but you do, and God does, so what matter if I do?

Hot are the Christians that are on fire for God.
Lukewarm are the ones that have become so like the world that you can't tell the difference between them and the world.
Cold are the one's who's hearts are not for the Lord at all.
Hot will be the ones that go to Heaven.
The Lukewarm, God has said He will spit out of His mouth and will be more harshly judged because they knew and missed the mark.
The Cold don't know Him and won't be in the book of Life.

If you are lukewarm, you will be spewed out of Jesus's mouth.
You'll still go to Heaven.
But, while your Lukewarm, Jesus can't use you to Talk to Others. Your not spiritual enough. Gotta get back closer to Jesus.
Gotta go higher in the spirit realm.
Oh, you can still tell People bout' HIM so on, but the gift like Prophesy, Delivering a Message to the Church, with Interpretation so on, won't work much.
Hope this helps.

Your reference is to Revelation 3:14-16. John was revealing what God was showing him and John wrote it down. John saw outlined in his vision events which were at that time in the future, but which were "shortly" to become history.

God was referring to the Church at Laodicea when John wrote "I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot. So, then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth."

"This phrase simply means that it is about Christians who are neither acting hostile toward Christ, nor zealous for Him. Christ would rather that men should be opposers than formal, apathetic professors of Him. This lukewarmness was most offensive, and hence the Lord declares that they shall be rejected like nauseous food."

This message is for all professing Christianity today. We are to be doers of the Word, not hearers only. Where there is ability, there is responsibility!

No. But lukewarm Christians make Jesus want to vomit. Check it out. That's exactly what the Greek says in Revelation.

It is not in the bible to have a Hot christian or Cold christians. I do recall having heard lukewarm christians which means that you are not doing his will. The bible also said that God will spit you out if you are a lukewarm. So i guess it means you are going to hell. It also depends if your church or your belief comes from the wasleyian side of the church or the calvinistic side of the church. If you would be in a wesleyian side then yes you will go to hell, but if you are from a calvinistic side who believes in one save always saved then you will not go to hell..

A hot christian is one who lives his or her religion day in and day out. A lukewarm christian is one who goes to church on Sunday and professes religion but will cheat, steal, lie, and break other commandments on a regular basis for his own gain or self gratification. A cold christian is someone who does not profess to be something he is not and does not go to church and pretend to be a good person to others.

Lukewarm Christians are the worse. They want the benefits of heaven without the sacrifice on earth. So they act like Christians until push comes to shove and then they run....

Jesus said that that whoever calls on him will be saved. If you have accepted Christ, you will go to heaven and be with Him.

What you are asking is not in reference to salvation, but to the kind of Christian you are. The idea being that if you are 'lukewarm', you are not living up to your full potential as a follower of Christ, but that does not negate your salvation.

In other words, our 'works' cannot save us, neither can they condemn us.

Read Revelation 3:14-22.

It is talking about it is better to be a cold or hot Christian than lukewarm.

You do not need my opinion, since the Bible is perfect.

Edit: and why did i get a thumbs-down again?
Thanks, lol.
