The first question revolves around the age of the guys involved. If you are both young, both of you should dating different people until you develop experience and the maturity to understand what drives your personal choices. Are they driven by neediness, an emptiness, or resentment.
Basically, it boils down to insecurity. Guys typically don't know what they want, understand that true love involves dedication and work, are afraid of making the wrong choice and being committed to that choice. Often, they don't understand the underlying motivation for their cravings. Are they attracted to a young lady who mothers them. providing a sense of personal validation, because their mother was unloving. If so, do they then resent themselves or the young lady, because they perceive themselves to be weak. If you get a chance to meet their parents, pay attention to the relationship between his mother and father. This more than anything else will bear witness as to how he will treat you. Does his mother wear the pants, does he have a weak father or does his father counsel with his mother and make the final decision. Look at how the guy treats his sisters if he has one.

I suggest you do the same. Young couples rarely last because people change as they mature. What you like about a guy now may not be what you like about guys in 5 years.
You should date a few different types of guys so you can see what is out there. Not all guys are the same. When you find someone that likes you the same way you like them, everything will come together naturally.

I always have done this. I would not know if I was truly happy unless I knew that there was no one out there that could make me any happier than I am. Sometimes I will be in a relationship and start talking to other females and realize how unhappy I am in the relationship. All this comes to me when I see how much fun I am having with this other person. I hope this makes sense to you all.

sometimes being with the same person for a long time is boring. the beginning of every relationship is amazing...surreal, sexually charged, insanely romantic, thrilling. then it gets to be the same old thing. you know the person really well, you know what they look like naked - all of the romanticism is faded. (plus, you can't just bang whoever you want - because, let's face it, we all still check out other people even when we're in a relationship.) if the love is real, though, he'd give up the thrill of being with other people just to be with you forever. and you're relationship will still find those thrills again more often than you think. if it's not meant to be, though, he'll keep searching until he finds the right one. it is possible to love a person and still know they're not "the one" for you. don't be hurt. keep your head up. keep searching for your "one". when you find him, you'll know. everything will be absolutely perfect.
