Be sure that you do not have an airbag in that seat that you are putting the carrier. I have a truck that I put my rear facing car seat in. It has bucket seats, not bench, and I asked a cop about it and she said it was legal, but I am not in Michigan. So, ask a cop, or a fireman, and make very sure you have no airbag

If I was you I'd call the police station there and ask.Make sure there isn't an airbag there. some of these answers are weird. Like I wouldn't or more or less don't do that. Were do they expect you to put the car set in the back of the truck ?? Good Luck Any way's!

Where I live (TN) you can have a car seat in the front seat of the truck. However, if there is a passenger side airbag, make sure you have it turned off. Nearly all trucks with passenger side airbags have a off/on switch.

Whether it is legal or not, it is stupid. If the kid is young enough to have a car seat, he/she is too small for the front seat.

it you can avoid it , i would. like if you have a back seat in the truck then stick it there, if you dont then thats beyond your control. but please make sure there is no air bag or if you can turn it off do it.

Legal or not, it's not the safest way to transport your children. I'd look into getting a new vehicle
