Im studying in medical terminology and we just finished the chapter on the nervous system......atrophy means without development, wasting away......and cerebral refers to the brain........so there is cleary a neurological problem where the brain isnt developing properly or is degenarating. Now this could mean many things, cerebral atrophy is more like a general diagnosis, there are many things which cause cerebral atrophy. But in short, thats what it means
