I'm guessing this is your first tattoo. I've had three so far. They do look kinda crappy as their healing, they will scab and the color does appear as if its coming off. Best thing to do, don't touch it, don't pick at it. I'm sure its fine. Maybe try using a different ointment. I use those vitamin E capsuls that you can break open. I've found that my tattoos scabbed much less using it and they healed faster. To make yourself feel better, why not go back to the tattoo parlor and ask their opinion. Good luck, hugs..me:)

This is perfectly normal. All 4 of mine done the same thing. You are going to have excess ink coming from the tat. This will last about a week. Make sure that you keep putting one the ointment. Also if possible keep clothing away from the new tat until it quits leaking. The ink will stain the fabric. Also make sure that the tat gets plenty of air. Also as your tat starts to heal good it will scab over some DO NOT PEEL THE SCABS.

When I got my first tattoo, I freaked out cause I accidently scratched it when I woke up, forgetting all about it. I saw that it looked like I scratched a part off. So, I kept putting the A&D ointment on it. Come to find out, the tat wasn't messed up I was just peeling and the top layer just about peeled and looked like the whole tattoo. You should be fine, your probably just peeling and its mixing with the ointment and making it look gross. If you have to really question it then go back to where you got the tattoo and have them check on it for you.

I would say don't use any ointment, use unscented lotion and wash it once a day with antibacterial soap, I didn't leak any color from doing that the only color that came off was a scab.

for what it is worth here is what my shop says to do as far as taking care of your tat. I would get rid of the A&D ointment if I were you. Btw: There will be some excess ink that can come out...don't freak out.

it's okay for the ink to stick to the napkin, some excess is going to be there. it's not going to ruin your tattoo. try regular vaseline or that "h20cean" stuff for tattoos- they have them at a lot of shops.

ink is going to come off , but dont put too much A&D on it just enough to make it a little moist an pat it off with a damp pper towel , cause too much will cause ink to come out thats not suppose to

thats normal. your skin is just healing itself and though it looks like the color is literelly coming out - its not. everything will be fine, think of it like dead skin - you now have inked dead skin, so that is what will flake off. keep using the a&d though, it does work best.
