I want to train my dog to become one of those dogs that go through hospitals helping people cheer up. Where can I go to do this, or what can I do?
We live in Denver if that helps.

Your looking to train your dog to be a therapy dog. That's what it is called. You should start with any good obedience school. Then go on to get your good canine citizenship certificate. Then go on to Therapy dog training. A good training facility can steer you in the correct direction to accomplish this.

they have places that you can take your dog and train them then. you go and take a test.
