The four-leaf clover is an uncommon variation of the common, three-leafed, clover. According to tradition, such leaves bring luck to their finders, especially if found accidentally.[1]
Clovers can have more than four leaflets. The most leaflets ever recorded is eighteen.[2] It has been estimated that there are approximately 10,000 three-leaf clovers for every four-leaf clover. Clovers have three leaves. Four-leaf clovers are actually a mutated form of the clover that normally has three leaves. The liklihood of finding a mutated clover are very small. Good luck.

I haven't seen a real 4 leaf clover since I was a child. My grandparents front lawn
was covered with them. I have no idea what the odds are. But good luck finding
one. If you do, please send me one. My all dried up and disappeared. Thanks!!
